MX Track from the Quarry

This lane is quite a find. It runs from the top of Salters Lane above Matlock (GR SK270594) to over near Grangemill (GR SK253578). It passes by a Quarry with a lot of scope for trailing and some scrambling.
The Quarry is at the location marked by the RED circle.

Further on is a very obvious motocross track (Marked above on the map by the BLUE circle). According to a farmer who lives nearby it costs about £7 for a day to use the track. I made a few slow circuits and it definately would be a good laugh with a few mates. As I was on my own I took it steady and then went on along the lane towards Grangemill.

Coming back - I had been told to head down into Bonsall by a couple of chaps I met in the Quarry - Peter (the farmer from nearby Cottage or Brightgate farm) and his mate Matthew - from Crich. They had off-road bikes - A Honda and DRZ. The Green Line on the map shows this track.

I have put this one on as is simply because the Quarry and the Track mean you could spend a good few hours minging about before carrying on elsewhere.

Entry to the Lane - bit tight!
